evilcatfish Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Now that the Bass X has been out for a few months, I'm wondering if anybody has any real feedback? Most of the online reviews I've read are more first impressions than a legit review. I'm putting together another smallmouth combo and am considering the 6'6" M Bass X or something from 13 in the same price category. I guess my main concern is the power rating, is the Bass x series true to their rating? I've had Avids and premiers rated at M but seemed more like a MH. Quote
Rbm18 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 I have the 7'1 med and to me it feels like a true medium . I haven't fished with it yet but so far I like it . Its pretty light wt. and balances very good with my citica 200E. 1 Quote

I'm hunting for a MH texas rig/jig/sitting on the bottom baits rod for under $150/ Quote

The Bass X uses SCII graphite, while the new Mojo Bass series uses SCIII. Quote
Rbm18 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I'll be using it mostly for moving baits so i'm not real worried about sensitivity. Quote
fluna Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I was thinking of picking one up for my top water fishing rod. HJave not found one in a store yet to feel it. Quote

I've got the 6'8" MH/F "worm-n-jig" rod and can vouch that it's a very nice rod and you wouldn't go wrong with it. I mainly fish 3/8 oz jigs on it and love it! Quote

Cabela's has them if you have one close by. Every where else I've looked (Dicks, Academy, Bass Pro) doesn't have the Bass-X yet. Quote
