I.rar Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Looking to replace my magpul buis with a set or fixed sights and keep coming back to this DD set. Anyone have experience with these or others? https://danieldefense.com/components-parts/fixed-front-rear-sight-combo.html Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted February 25, 2017 Super User Posted February 25, 2017 I use that exact DD rear sight, and boring old fixed front sight base/gas block on my 20" rifle that only has irons and no optics. It's a nice sight, buy it....................however...........I have tried running a red dot at both absolute, and lower 1/3 co-witness with this sight, and it works fine too.....BUT, that set up is just not for me, it's "too busy" of a sight picture, and I still prefer the Magpul MBUS fold down rear sights when running optics. I can't speak to the matching DD fixed front sight, as I don't have it. Quote
TheRodFather Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 DD is great stuff, I'm sure they would hold up fine. But like the post above me, I don't like all the stuff going on in my sight picture. I run the Troy front and rear fold downs and like them a lot. Quote
I.rar Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 Thanks, I have them on order. Not planning on a red dot so it shouldn't be an issue. 1 Quote

I think you'll be pleased. IMHO they are the best fixed rear iron sight on the market. I loath detachable carry handles and the ridiculous un-needed adjustments. With the DD rear sight, I zeroed for windage on the rear, elevation on my FSB post and leave it...., nothing to bump, or accidently turn like an A2 or carry handle sight, that's perfect for a K.I.S.S. guy like me 1 Quote
I.rar Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 Nice. They are going on my ar pistol that plays a HD role and needed something I can set, forget and not worry about bumping it into something and loosing my zero. Quote
XpressJeff Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 As already stated, good quality. You'll be pleased. Quote
I.rar Posted April 12, 2017 Author Posted April 12, 2017 I got them in and went to the range once with them. Definitely quality fixed sights for sure. Still need to dial them in some but I'd recommend them 100%. I'll post some pics when I can. Quote
