Super User N Florida Mike Posted February 24, 2017 Super User Posted February 24, 2017 Just picked one up at Academy sports.I got the 3.5 inch coppernose bluegill. Has anyone done any good with them? It casts good at least . Quote
Big Swimbait Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Good bait for the $. The VMC hooks were sharp out of the box, but didn't stay that way long. Switched them out to Owners. 1 Quote
S. Sass Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Not sure exactly what H2O lure your speaking of but I have been very satisfied with the lures I have of theirs. I don't have a lot but probably 20 or so of theirs and to me they are a great bait for the $. Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted February 25, 2017 Author Super User Posted February 25, 2017 Yeah the swim bait but It floats on its side.I tried it out last night .Didn't catch any,but had a small fish blow up on it. First time bait for me.Didnt know it was topwater til I fished it Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 25, 2017 Global Moderator Posted February 25, 2017 The ones I have sink quickly. I change the hooks. I remove the back hook and put a single #2 on the belly. 1 Quote
S. Sass Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 I looked through all the 3 1/2" h2o baits because I never heard of the copper nose color. I found one crankbait that was 3 1/2" and 2 swimbaits but none with copper nose in the name. Bluebasser86 tip works good on the hooks. But I wasn't aware of a topwater one either. Quote
MisplacedTexan99 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 I think he's referring to the h20 version of the live target hollow body sunfish. I have also had really good experience with all my h20 baits, love the cranks. Quote
bagofdonuts Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 i like their cranks. in fact the fish in my avatar has an h2o sqaure bill stuck it her face. Quote

I saw Academy came out with this knock off a few weeks ago. Wonder if it works well? I agree, the H2O express cranks are pretty good. They come with good hooks too. Can't beat the price either. Quote
