BobbyBBass Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Hey Guys , Moved to New Hampshire and was wondering what color jerkbaits work best in N.H waters ,Thank you Quote
tander Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Don't leave chrome/black back at home, probably work anywhere. 1 Quote
NCbassraider Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 In clear water, nothing beats the megabass vision line of jerkbaits, They are natural looking and hand painted and shine like crazy under water. The really put on a light show in sunlight. They are pricey though at $25/each. Pretty good hooks too. Quote
Super User MassYak85 Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 New Hampshire has some pretty clear waters depending where you are fishing. I'd probably be using something like a ghost bluegill, ghost perch, or some sort of chrome for when they are really keyed in on that flash. 1 Quote
JDNKC Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Mega bass vision 110 go pro blue or pro blue 2. It is my go to color and always performs. 1 Quote
Super User Angry John Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Alewife is one of the primary forage in the north east. The pro blue mentioned earlier worked well in CT as well as the rapala perch color on my xrap-8. Those two and just white is what worked best for me. I tried a lot of others but either struck out or only got one or two the entire time i was up there for three years. Baits that worked well were the smaller xraps size 8, the rc stx by rick chun in the larger size and the lLucky Craft Staysees 90 ver.2 1 Quote
Bucky205 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Bass tend to eat anything that doesn't eat them. There should be a state biologist assigned to the area your fishing. Give him a call, ask him what some of the food sources are for bass in that area, Most areas the food source is seasonal, ask the biologist what they feed on at different times throughout the year. I would guess that shad and crayfish will be high on the list. Then throw stuff that looks like their food source. Quote
DubyaDee Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Perch, GP blue, and elegy bone are my favorites. Quote
