I hate 41s with a passion.

36s stick everything that breathes on them.

What about the 41's do you hate?.....just curious

On a side note I do have the 36's on many crankbaits

I don't like the curved in points, personally.

36s, 66s and Gammy round bends are all I use for trebles.

i feel just the opposite , ST-41's are super sticky sharp and are also very strong without being brittle . ST-36's are good hooks but are for small baits . on swimbaits you want a stout hook , sticky sharp , and a balanced to run true , the 41's are all that ,not much more you can ask for ...

36s for small baits?

I run 2/0 on some of my 250s and they do just fine. Oddly enough, the bait that completely turned me off to 41s was a 316 Baby Wake, a comparatively small bait that the hook up percentage was absolute garbage on.

The Owner STXd-58 is my choice because they are very strong lighter wire hook with a bend I prefer in crankbaits, surface lures, wake baits and swimbaits. Started using STX-58's on Pompaduers to cure bass jumping or shaking off. Replaced the S-Wavers hooks and haven't lost any bass.

The only issue may be they don't come in black Nickle finish, that hasn't been an issue.

the 58's & 66's are stout hooks , i just think they just are not as ''sticky'' sharp as the 41's . i will always choose the cutting point over the needle point . just handling a swimbait with 41's is risky as they are so sharp !!! i also think the curved in hook tips help keep the hooks sharper longer , never have had a problem with keeping fish on them ...

to the OP , every one has their preferences , when you fish the them let us know your opinion , with Owner hooks no matter what you choose you can't go wrong - best hooks in the game
