Does anyone know where I can buy some wholesale or cheap tungsten? Seems there are some sketchy websites to buy it but does anyone have a reliable source? Thanks

Alibaba has a lot of vendors but there's usually a bulk minimum.  I haven't bought anything yet but have been checking out prices to check for trending and how it compares to lead.

@roadwarrior does siebert pour his tungsten himself?

Nobody "pours" tungsten.  Tungsten carbide powder is compressed at great pressure to form the weights.  It's not something you can do at home.  In fact, I think there just a few factories in Asia that do this.

I can vouch for seibert's tungsten weights. I stocked up on enough that will last me for years and it was less than $40. Super good prices, you can buy the exact amount you want, and the quality is great, no imperfections.

yep. i was skeptical. but probably only place ill order mine through now. practically a dollar cheaper on the bigger sizes than most companys. i see no imperfections on mine and i ordered dropshot weights. barrel weights. flipping weights. and punch skirt weights

The one we all keep seeing on our FB feeds.... direct from China.... is legit. I paid $2.43 for 3/4 oz worm weights. Free shipping at $40 order. I ordered $40 worth and I'm good for years now on my C-rig. :)

For what it's worth I messaged a couple of manufacturers on alibaba asking for a price quote on 200ct skinny dropshot weights, in 3/16oz size, and after shipping and handling the price came to .70-.74 cents per weight.  So the omfishingsinkers prices are actually cheaper and you don't need to have as large of a minimum order.

I bought a pretty good sized order from them. Quality was great, but it took about a month to receive and there was zero communication aside from my paypal receipt.

Where are they shipping from? omfishingsinkers.com usually takes 9 to 11 days, from China.

There was a thread here on them. I posted when I ordered and then updated when I finally received the order. Just over a full month. There was another guy in the thread having the same experience.

I did end up getting some tungsten drop shot weights from omfishingsinkers - placed the order on Feb 21, and they arrived last Friday Mar 3, so ten days.  The return address though was from some place in New York or New Jersey, not China.  Either way quality looks good and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!

I spent a rainy day a few months ago on the quest for cheap tungsten.  Siebert is the cheapest place I found that will ship in days, not weeks.  Omfishingsinkers beats his prices a little but takes up to a month to arrive and I always fear the site will just disappear.  They do have a rotating selection however and have some really great shakyhead jigs in stock sometimes.
