Robo worms

I just got a quick question?

 

Since they are very soft,will the tails be ok if they are stored in a bag,thats about 1/2 inch to small? Thanks for your time

Depends on how long.  For long term storage, you should probably get a plano box or just leave them in the factory bag

I have a drawer dedicated to plastic lure bags, yet, half the time the bag I find is about 1/2" too short.

Nonetheless, the ratio of kinked baits doesn't seem any higher than kinked baits right out of the bag.

 

The situation in my tackle box is even worse, where I routinely pour loose plastic baits

into compartments that are shorter than the baits. Of course, I'll discard a badly kinked bait,

but that is very rarely the case  (best not to sweat small stuff)

Hard to say without knowing how long you are going to keep them that way. Like any other plastic, if you store them with a kink or bend, eventually they will accept that re-shaping. Best to keep them in their own bags in my opinion. And I do LOVE Roboworms!

I love Roboworms but it is annoying that they don't come in a resealable packet. I wind up leaving them in the plastic sleeve they come in and putting that sleeve in a 1 gallon freezer ziploc bag for transport.

I have about 300 of them in my drop shot box and they are all crammed. It hasn't really done anything to them and the fish don't seem to mind.

I bought 2 packs (1 pumkin punisher and 1 of the hot tips) around December and I also bought a generic bass pro version (morning dawn) to try which is perfect for holding the name brand too lol I just combine the 3 into the bass pro bag.

 This is what I do also--Love Roboworms but I also wish they would improve their packaging

I find it annoying too.  I'm sure the price would go up a little if they improved the packaging.  I have a little pouch in a zipped pocket in my backpack that's dedicated to roboworms.  Just long enough where they won't bend.  I just roll up the bag and drop 'em in the pouch.

I agree! Nothing better than a Robo on a Buckeye flik-it jig wacky! Game On!

interesting...I have never rigged a roboworm wacky...guess if I'd have considered it, I'd have thought they might be too limp...one more added to the list of 50-plus 'new-to-me' presentations to try this spring

That is why I like the Robo on the Flik-It jig the Robo is limp and it gives off more action when you pull,they can't stay off of it!

Thanks guys. Im currently revamping the amount i take with me. I can order various sizes of the exact same bags that others come in that are zip closed. Example: TRDs come in a bag thats 10 times bigger than needs to be. I have bags that are the same width, but are only 2inch tall. Its alot more compact. Ive bags 5x3,4x4,etc. They are laminated just like you get ,only no graphics on either side. Ill post up some pics, to show the difference when i get more done

for 6 inch straight tails , i put them in snack size ziplocks ..

If I run out of Roboworms and don't want to place a $50+ dollar order on TW, I just pick up a bag from Walmart. You get less (8 per bag vs 10 per bag) but they come in a Roboworm ziplock bag vs the plastic bag with the cardboard top stapled on. I tend to keep my Roboworms in those bags if not in a plano or worm wallet.
