Dorado Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I notice that the Lower Salt River has a healthy population because they end up in many of the eastern ponds in PHX metro. I notice that they aren't large (averaging 2.5" or so). Any good soft plastics and color recommendations? I'm tired of imitating Threadfin Shad all year long and want to mix things up. Mostly fish lakes 10 acres or less. Thanks in advance for your response. Quote

Super User J._Bricker Posted February 18, 2017 Super User Posted February 18, 2017 Dorado, granted I'm not familiar with the area you're talking about, you might check out a smallie beaver or a flappin hog 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted February 18, 2017 Super User Posted February 18, 2017 Scale down the size of the jig and trailer. When Uncle Josh made #32 small pork crawdad they worked good on Skinny Bear jigs. Today you may need to use Strike King Bitsy craw on a Skinny Bear Signature pro finesse jig. Tom 1 Quote

I like those Brown Purple orange jigs. This Crawdads have green pumpkin and light beige tints with rusty orange limbs and a slightly light blue abdomen Quote
SWVABass Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Try a rage menace grub, gene larew salt craw, and a new one I'm picking up is the Yamamoto psycho dad. They also make some smaller craws. You could also get some Jj's magic or the dye markers at Walmart to enhance your craws even more. 1 Quote
