Crank Bait Nut Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 For Buzzed Bait & Anyone Else Wanting To Try The Crackled Look. 1. The Stuff I Use Is Purchased Through (Michael's Craft Store) Its Called (Weathered Wood - Crackle Medium) By Americana. 2. Not All Airbrush Colors Work , Opaque Colors Work Best , I Think They Have More Pigment In Them Which Helps Them React Better To The Crackle. 3. On A Basic White Craw Pattern , Spray Base Coat Opaque Black , Hit With Hair Dryer To Dry. I Use Small Vinyl Brushes From Walmart .99 For Pk Of 30. Paint On Your Crackle Entire Bait , Make Sure You Cover The Bait Evenly , Don't Go To Thin / Heavy With The Crackle. "Do Not Dry The Crackle" , Once Your Done Painting It On , Spray Entire Bait With Opaque White , Make Sure You Have Good Coverage , You Will Start To See The Reaction , Take Your Hair Dryer , Setting Low and Dry The Bait , Don't Hold The Hair Dryer Too Close.
