Just as the title mentions what is your must have brand and style of a wacky hook , I personally mainly fish them on a 2/0 circle hook weightless but have been thinking about starting to use wacky jig heads hooks to get them down quick and maybe give them a better presentation?

Good topic.

Personally, the best I've found -- that is -- the ones

I like best, are the Buckeye Flick-It football jig head

weighted wacky.

Can't remember the last time they went on sale, tho...

:(

I am partial to 2 kinds

Spinning gear I use VMC wacky jigs in 1/16th or 1/8th oz.

Casting gear I use Revenge Flippin' Whackers in 1/16th or 18th oz. as well.

Both Gamakatsu and Owner make weedless wacky jigs. I use Jackall flick shakey weedless wacky tungsten jig head and have a lot of them.

I like to use the Buckeye Flick-it jig for wacky in alittle deeper water. And  now you can wacky any bait not just Senko's.

My favorite wacky rigging hooks are the Gamakatsu finesse wide gap hooks.  I don't fish weighted wacky rigs much, but when I do need a little extra weight I'll pinch a split shot just above the hook or peg a lite bullet sinker to it.

For the past few years my go to senko hook has been a Falcon K-wacky weighted weedless hook.   I generally use the 1/16 oz 3/0 size.

I'm telling myself that I need to try some different wacky jigs this year but I haven't bought any yet.  The Revenge Flipping Whackers I see on the Tackle Warehouse site look good and so do the Gambler Svebec wacky jigs.   While I was cleaning out/ "organizing" my fishing shed I came across some 1/16 oz Road Runner Heads that have a larger than normal hook on them - looks to be a 1/0.  I'm going to try those for sure.

Take it from me, I switched to the Revenge Flipping Whackers from the weighted Falcon K-wacky hooks.............It was a good move, and I'll never go back to the K-wacky (unless revenge stops making the whackers)

Just looked those up at TW. Not bad, never considered

before, but I might have to try some. I really like the

football head on the Buckeye FlickIt hooks, but the

wire guard leaves a bit to be desired.

Do you trim the weedguard or is it aok (not too stiff) as-is?

I rarely wacky rig but for those that do, I am getting asked for these on a very regular basis.  They are a Gamakatsu hook with a weight that adds to the action of a Senko as it falls.  It really gets that worm wigglin!!

Nope...I leave the weedguard alone. I fish these on MH casting gear with 30lb braid and 15 or 17lb leaders and they are fantastic.

When I switch to spinning gear and lighter line I use the VMC ones which have lighter wire hooks and thin single strand wire weed guards. I used to use the Buckeye Flick-it's but the VMC are just as good for less money.

I normally use the jigs on MXF spinning and casting,

1/8 oz is my go-to unless the wind is up...

I was using BPS wacky jigs and tying my own weed

guard, but they no longer carry them, so that option

went out the window.

Yes, the Buckeye jigs are too pricey, on that we agree.

Looks like the VMC weedguard is the same as Buckeye.

I'll still look at those Revenge jigs when I can put an

order together. Thanks for the tip on 'em.

The hook is heavy wire hook on the Revenge...be mindful of that. I don't care for them on spinning gear personally, as they need a little power to be driven home.  And just the opposite....I bend hooks when using the VMC's on heavier casting gear, that's why I use them as a 1-2 punch, but also because I have not found one single "do-all" wacky jig that can be fished with out issue on both types of equipment.

Sounds like you got what advice you needed.

Never tried the Jackall hooks, but I've eyed them

quite a bit when I've visited BPS. Those along with

the Gamakatsu G-Finesse wacky jig heads. Both

a bit more than I want to spend at this time...
