samwise2u Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Caught 3, all bass. One was a keeper, barely. Launched about 6:45 at Oak Ridge, headed up the Sabine River. Wind was calm at sunrise but forecast was south wind at 10 - 15 for the day. Fished coves that had 4' - 6' of water, river banks with lay downs and sandy points. Caught 2 bass at the mouths of the coves on a black/blue jig, the third at the back of a cove on a white buzz bait. My son was with me, he did not catch anything. Threw everything in the tackle box at 'em. Water temp 56 - 60 degrees, cloudy and started with no wind then it started blowing hard. A little current in the river. Water was muddy on the river and stained in the coves. Did not see any grass or vegetation. Put the truck in drive at 11:09am and headed to the house. 1 Quote
