So I'm going down to the ozarks Sunday and I've never been there before. Putting in at gravois mills and fishing that area. Thinking mainly sticking to the jerk bait and jig bite. How is the lake fishing right now? Any advice is much appreciated

A-rig and jerkbait. Jig always catches some year round but won't be the first thing I pick up down there on the lower end this weekend. This warmth may get that bite going too though. We'll see.

Of course I loaned my a-rig set up to a buddy that's down on lake fork this week... looks like I'll have fun throwing one on my flipping setup

I'd have a wart in the mix for sure. Shakyhead can be good when they're being tough.

43 was the warmest temp we saw down around the dam but I bet the wart bites getting going up a ways.

I've caught them on warts in 39 degree water. Fish them slow, then slow down about 1/2 that. Bites feel like it's starting to hang up on something, then it moves. Sticky sharp hooks are a must for that kind of fishing because they rarely have it good. It's a good way to get a big bite though.

We caught some decent fish on Sunday. Our bite seemed to quit around 10 and the wind seemed almost impossible to escape. Overall was a good trip. I posted a picture of our two best fish over in the KC area guys thread
