Has anyone changed from flourocarbon to hybrid line? I have not tried hybrid line yet but want to give it a shot. I like fishing light line 6lb. to 8lb. test when not using braids. I was thinking about getting some 4 lb. test hybrid to try because I heard it it thicker than  Flourocarbon line. Anyone have any suggestions on what line to try?

#4 lb yhb is still tough line and will handle a good size fish.  If your not using at least a 2500 sized reel that would be as high as i would go.  #6 is decent on a 2500.

P-line flouroclear is a lot thinner and i was using 8lb on a 2000 sized reel for trout.  It is very thin but stretch is a lot.

For cheap line a 10 dollar spool of yozuri (I think 600 yards) of 15 pound test works very well. Line is pretty manageable, very sensitive, very abrasive resistant, stupid strong, but the knot strength is lacking. I tested the best knot to be a San Diego jam. Next line I'll try will be sufix pro mix or sufix superior. Sufix makes my favorite braid 832 and mono elite/siege so I'm sure the others are good as we'll
