Hey guys, I just bought a new (to me) boat and it came with the base and transducer of a Humminbird fish finder. I'm guessing it's a 500 Series but the boat is from '96 and it could be anything. I don't know if I should buy a display and hope everything else works, or just get a completely new unit.

Is it salvagable?

I would just go with a new unit, better quality and don't have to worry about anything being wrong

That mount will work with the Humminbird Matrix, 300 series, 500 series, 600 series, and 700 series at least. The transducer is similar to the dual beam 2D sonar XNT 9 20 T for all the above Sonar models. The transducer cable is attached in a different place so it is older.

Look for a label on the transducer cable about 12" from the mount.

It may be a Quad Beam transducer.

I just happen to have a Matrix 17 head unit I'm not using. It's black and white not color. I'll give it to you for $50 plus shipping if you're interested. I want to say I only used it for 2 or 3 seasons.
