ClonesGoneFishin16 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Lew's Tourney MB or Shimano Citica I. Take your pick. Just wondering. Quote
Robert Riley Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 If you're not buying a Curado or better, go with Lew's. Quote

tappinbass Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 MB all the way. I will never buy any other reel. I own several other casting reels, but admittedly not a citica, but I can say my MBs are far superior and pleasurable to use than anything else. Love them. 1 Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted February 4, 2017 Super User Posted February 4, 2017 For me I will take a Lew's! If I could do it over again I would have Lews on ALL my baitcaster rods! 1 Quote

jimf Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I vote the Lew's, I'm a fan. I myself am trying to decide between the MB and a Lews TP. I own the latter, but I'm thinking I'll be happy with an MB with some change left over. Or will I regret not spending a few more bucks? 1 Quote

Nscheele Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I've had a tournament mb in the 7:1 ratio for 2 seasons now and it has performed well for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and pretty much anything else I've decided to fling around with it. I've only had experience with shimano spinning reels so I'm not much help from that side. I really like my mb and I think you would too. Quote
Basswhippa Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Now that Lews sold out, Shimano is the no Brainer. Quote

Yeah, wut. I was just talking to a guy at Lew's at work and he said it was still independently owned (if that is what you are getting at). 22 hours ago, Sammies77 said: Yep. The curado has 3 arb bearings and 2 stainless steel bearings vs 5 stainless steel in the citica. That's the only difference between the two reels and it's unnoticeable performance wise. People will still pay more for the curado just because it's a "curado". Then they'll tell you how it's smoother and casts farther than the citica. Lol 1 Quote
