None of the above. Ever seen someone that had their jaw cut off because they got gum cancer from that stuff? That's a hard pass from me.

Thanks to growing up in wrestling country and having to make weight for grappling tournaments and stay in wrestling shape up until getting hurts a few years ago, Coppenhagen snuff has probably kept me from killing people.  That said, I've cut back a lot and would rather have a semi-regular cigar habit.

Daughter went to be with the Lord from oral cancer that spread.  She didn't use tobacco but was very unfortunate.  I chewed many years ago and she asked me to quit when she got cancer...I did.  Was not a pretty ride and I feel sorry for all those who have to go through it.  There's other bad habits that aren't as toxic.

A ton of people do it - probably shouldn't.

That can be said for a lot of things.

I'd quit if I were you

None for this guy either. I'd rather spend money on more fishing stuff instead.

You aren't doing your self any favors by chewing on a noxious/toxic/ carcinogenic plant rather than burning it up and sucking down the smoke.   Where do you spit at?   I've been I tournaments with chewers and at the end of a windy day there are little brown spots all over the front of the boat, where they "missed a little" getting it all over the side.   I can imagine Ms Bass, looking up when a loogie hits the water and thinking, "Really?  Hey, I don't spit poison in your living room."  Either way, you're supporting big tobacco.   What good have they done lately?   What percentage of your weekly income are you spending now to chew up toxic plants?

At the end of the day we all probably have bad habits that we'd probably be better off if we lost them.   Yes, I am a former smoker - haven't smoked for 8 years or so.  Didn't choose to quit - HAD to quit - (long story).  I have to deal with smokers and chewers at work and I've got to say I don't know which is nastier - ash trays or spit cups.   It is a close decision, but spit cups get the nod as being nastier.   I could and maybe should go on a LOT longer on this topic, but I'm gonna stop the rant now.

Well...another non-tobacco user here. Know plenty who

chewed, smoked, etc., never liked the stuff, tho have

had a rare cigar or flavored cigarillo...

Personally, I hate the aftertaste of those things, let alone

spit cups I've seen left around, spit stepped in, and all that.

<shudder>

Cope (original) pouches are my go-to in situations when I can't smoke, I got tired of the mess of long cut or snuff about 8 years ago. I guess nicorette gum would work too, but I haven't made that step toward better health yet.

It's probably the most important decision of your life  (I'm routing for you)

wow....no smokeless for me for past couple decades...but I won't/don't judge or preach...and I sure don't want to hear anyone telling me I shouldn't be smoking my cigars.  I chewed Redman for a few years and Cope for another 15 or so

I'm with @bigfruits , good thing you didn't ask what beer or whiskey we drink

We all must make life choices but we really should be a little more respectful of other folks decisions. I don't exclude myself from this statement. We all do something we should not do.

I switched from Copenhagen snuff to skoal xtra crisp blend pouches which allowed my gums to heal and is much better for my teeth and those pouches are so d**n conveint and not messy

I dipped from about 14-19 . And started cigarettes around 15. Also another unmentionable. I quit all of it when I turned 20 (with the occasional drink here and there ) . And started smoking a vapor cig when I hit 21. I'm 24 now and finally kicked that a few months ago. I have jack daniels probably twice a week.

That being said I always liked grizzly wintergreen pouches. Cheap and hit me hard. And the Skoal citrus pouches tasted awesome. They were just weak compared to the grizz.  I knew the preaching was gonna come as soon as I read what you asked... It is nasty. And it will cause problems.

I'm a bettin man. And willing to bet that most everyone who chimed in about the dip being bad, has some dirty habits of their own..

Happy new year to ya.

Started dipping Coppenhagen back in the 60's and dipped for probably 30 years and quit. One of the reason is I had a son and didn't want him to dip. One of the hardest things I have ever done but glad now I did it. I really don't see how people afford it now. I think it is over $4 a can. When I started it was 23 cents. I think I am very fortunate to not get mouth cancer.
