The fish were on today! Hit a 3 1/2 acre pond in Goochland, Virginia and nailed 6 largemouth. Lost 3. One I lost I fought for a while... got him to my feet on the shore and he shook the lure off. Today the bass were hitting on a Strike King Squarebill. Chartreuse. Nice slow retrieve with a slight twitch. Water clarity was pretty clear, and hardly any wind, sun was out for the most part so the bass were fairly shallow getting some sun, as I'm sure the shallower water was 2-3 degrees warmer.

Here's a couple pics from this glorious winter day of fishing! Tight lines, guys!!!

Thanks VAHunter. A couple warmer days with a little sunlight seemed to get them biting. Pre-spawn & Spawn cannot get here fast enough!!!!

Nice fish man!  I need to get away from the city and find a nice quiet place to wet a line.

Thanks! Tried a shaky head this am. It was 22 degrees out and my squarebills and rat-l traps weren't working. Forced myself to learn shaky heads and caught 6 bass and lost 4 in 2 hours!
