GainesvilleElCamino Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Hi guys, I just got into fishing about a year ago and now I'm hooked. I almost bought a boat in December but my workplace caught fire and burned down so that dream has been put on hold for at least 8 months (thats about the time it will take to rebuild). I still fish from the bank at least twice a week and rent kayaks and canoes on the Santa Fe River when I get the chance. I've been chasing bass but I seem to catch more mudfish (bowfin) than anything else. 3 Quote

Thanks PF. Where are you in Polk County? My father is a Bartow OG, and I lived there after pops retired from the Navy and moved back home when I was in high school. Quote

Hey cport, we moved to Winter Haven after my dad retired from the Army, he works for the state now in Bartow, FL Dept of Agriculture. I ended up back here after school as well. With the Winter Haven Chain, the Kissimmee Chain, and the Harris Chain all so close; there may have been a reason I came back! 1 Quote
