did you try putting it back with a schematics on hand? I didn't know promax tention knobs clicked

I have the schematic but it just shows the gold thing going in between the reel and the tension knob cap. And yeah it used to click

Where is that golden part? I dont see it on the schematic

that is the old version. this is the current schematic. it's either part 55 or 56. pretty sure that it's part 56. not exactly sure what part 55 is I don't think I've even seen that one. Maybe that's my problem but it worked before. thanks for the help

lol, just be more careful and put all the little things in a container. I think learning how to service your own equipment is important.

ehhh I think i will stick to sending my reels in to a service place to be cleaned and lubed. too much of a hassle

Just checked my pro-max and it does click. Never paid attention to it until now. I'm not taking it apart now. Did that before with a Skeet Reese W&M reel and the brake doesn't work right. Lol

There should a click washer like the one in the cap only with two legs that insert in the holes in the side plate. The gold click spring sandwiches in between them.

Just saw this post, I cant find that part. I must have lost it. Oh well the reel still works at least. Next time i'll send the reels your way... Probably next winter sometime;)
