cyclops2 Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 USN 1957 to 1961 computers, guided missiles, Sperry mechanical ballistic air defense computer. We really did have a 3D computer & we shot down jets attacking during Guantanamo, Cuba trainings. I had tuned the radar & computers way above Mil Spec. We put 3 plaster rounds threw the P2V towing plane. The Safety People did not see computer switch to the plane at the end of a turn. Only 3.... 5" holes in the rear of the plane. Or the time when we launched the first ship to airplane defense missiles. With civilians on deck. Politicians with families next to them. Missile goes out to minimum range & detonates. I felt the shockwave in the main battery director . The jet drone was 5 miles away. Best times of my life. ? 8 Quote
codogs Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Former Marine. 91-95. Haven't been on the site for about 10-11 years. Roadwarrior - I'm pretty sure your profile pic is the same as when I left. I see Glenn and Flukemaster have big YouTube channels now. I took a hiatus from fishing after having kids and sold my old Skeeter around 2009/2010. Fast forward about a decade, and my son starts high school this fall. I'll be a boat captain on the high school fishing team that he wants to be a part of. I'm getting back into tournament fishing and started fishing MLF BFL's in the Ozark division this year. Semper Fi, Cody Quote
