Polk in Louisiana - now I know the kinds of places I missed. I was less than an hour from South Toledo Bend! That said, that is the ONLY thing I regret about Louisiana - hated that place. 3 Quote

Never caught anything really big but was something to do. I never caught anything of size in the lakes, but the streams, one in particular, held very nice dolly varden. The creek ran under the tundra. You had to pull back the grass and drop your lure in the water. The saltwater fishing was great. I never hooked into any big halibut (my PB there was only 60 lbs.), but I witnessed a lot of fish between 100 - 200 lbs. True doormats. I even caught halibut fishing off the piers. Of course you also had the pink, red and silver salmon. A lot of good memories from that tour! Quote
