I eat pretty simple.  Humas and pita chips, dried cranberries, smoked hazelnuts, dried passion fruit and a Slim Jim. I have been known to accidentally  put a donut in the boat. Water, Gatorade and if chilly, a thermos of Lady Earl Tea with honey and lemon.  I keep the china carefully packed in case the water is rough.  There's no need to fore go the comforts of home while fishing. I've heard of Cliff Bars but I don't plan on hanging on the outside of my boat with chalk on my hand.;)

I always start the day with a Full Throttle energy drink, and I usually keep a small cooler in the truck with a few bottles of water. I'm a big beef jerky guy. If it's not some that I've made myself in my dehydrator, it's Jack Links. Sunflower seeds have been making their way into my bag too, but that's because I'm trying to quit smoking. Gotta pack light when you're bank fishing ??

Whether I'm Bank fishing or on the boat I always have some water and on occasion some Mountain Dew. For Snacks I usually have either trail mix or granola bars.

Coffee, banana, sunflower seeds

If it is the summer, I will have a jug of water.

I don't eat much on the water.  Just enough so my blood sugar doesn't crash.

BANANA??? Do you ever even catch fish?

Water, crackers, occasionally some almonds or peanuts (unshelled) and a Reese peanut butter cup.

I usually take 2 PB&J sandwiches and a big jug of water. The last several trips the sandwiches have been swapped out for venison summer sausage and snack sticks.

Used to drink a Monster energy drink on the water but in my attempt to get healthier, I haven't had an energy drink in almost 3 months now.

I need to figure out healthier options than my usual sandwiches too I suppose.

Shore guy so I can't really bring any perishables.  I always get a hot coffee at one of the 24 hour gas stations and they always halfway through brewing their 7 different pots fresh when I get there.  Sometimes I'll grab their 3 for $1 cookies.  From home I'll usually bring a Clif Bar or a pack of Belvitas from Costco, and beef jerky as well.  The Perky Jerky is good but my favorite is the Krave Black Cherry BBQ Pork.  If I plan on staying for a long time I'll usually pack a sandwich or two with mustard, and bury them in my backpack so they stay cool.  For fluids I always just bring a 32 oz water bottle that I fill with plain ol' tap water but if it's a really hot day I'll bring a cooler with extra water or coconut water and just leave it in the car to drink when I get back.

Man cannot live on turkey sandwiches alone.

During the summer when it's hot and I may be on the water for 12+ hours in 90 degree plus heat, the one thing I'm religious about is keeping at least two Gatorade sipper bottles full of ice/water.  Having had sun poisoning, I DO NOT want to deal with it again.

Huh?! Yeti cup of water or Gatorade. Maybe a spare bottle if I'm going on an extended float or gonna be on the water for 14+ hours in TX heat. Used to not bring anything no matter how long I was gonna be out, but I can't do that no mo'. Try not to eat if I'm still gonna be fishing. If I do, it always seems my gut makes me pay for it. Usually just eat fairly big before I get out on the water. When I have to eat, it usually depends on how far away civilization is from where I'm fishing. If it's close, just pack up the yak and get to Whataburger. If I'm in the sticks, I typically have MREs and/or P3s packed in the Jeep.

I pack a couple apples and water. Nothing better for a natural energy boost than an apple. If the wife goes with me I end up packing more, she gets grumpy when she gets hungry

I don't believe in any superstitions or anything like that and it's a pet peeve of mine.  The fish don't know what kind of fruit is in my boat.  My wife says I am no fun.

10 years ago I could fish 10-12 hours straight with nothing more than a couple drinks of water throughout the day.............I can't do that anymore

Me too . Now I have to keep theblood sugar level . I take a sub sandwich  and eat it  slowly through the day . A bite hear and there . A few Snickers bars are in the cooler if I feel I need sugar along with crackers and maybe a  hard boiled egg .

Im not a diabetic , yet , instead I have low blood sugar . Ive been drinking Glucerna in the morning . That stuff keeps my blood levels in good shape for a few hours . I'm thinking of adding a bottle of that to the cooler

Last year things changed for me, so I just brought 3 waters, 1 gatorade, 2 peanut butter sandwiches, a bag of fritos and a granola bar or 3. In a small cooler bag

Years ago I would cook up some marinated chicken wings, steak tips, and pork kabobs on the grill the night before, let them cool down stick them in a gallon sized ziplock bags and they would replace the sandwiches.

And yeah,..they are still good cold. all fit in a med sized igloo cooler

I bring apples and granola bars but usually won't eat until I'm in the truck heading home at the end of the day.  I always have water in the boat and do my best to keep hydrated.

Almost always have some kind of jerky with me.  For a drink it might be a pop, sport drink, water or combination of that.  Depending on how long I'll be out I'll bring a ham or turkey sandwich.  Sometimes I'll have sunflower seeds too.

If I'm going out with a friend or two there's almost always a cooler of beer.

On a side note, cold pizza is always a luxury and maybe the best fishing food there is.

Edit: And when I know it's going to be a hot day I'll force myself to drink a ton of water before leaving the house, even if I'm not thirsty.  It makes a huge difference later.

I bring a Hydro Flask vacuum insulated bottle filled with ice water. For food I pack a sandwich or 2 and a Clif Nut Butter Bar.

I'll down some water on the hot days, that just feels mandatory for me. As far as snacks go, I grab water is going to be most filling without feeling a full blown meal. Usually that consists of some Special K bars or breakfast snack bars. Oh, and beef jerky.

a sandwich or two from home and a banana if I have any. coffee and chips and/or cashews from gas station/7-11 on the way to the launch. water and sometimes beer.

Lead poisoning is much worse, especially if the lead comes for the barrel of a shotgun.

LOL, another hard water thread!  I eat granola bars.  Boringest man alive!
