FrogginOhio Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I'm replacing all of my rods this year. Want to stick with one company. Was possibly thinking castaway rods. Any one have any issues with them? Also if I emailed castaway do you think they'd give some sort of discount if I'd be ordering 6-7 rods? Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted January 24, 2017 Super User Posted January 24, 2017 Never hurts to ask. No experience with Castaway so I can't help you there. I'm sure there will be one or two on here that can give you an opinion based on experience. 1 Quote
Super User fishnkamp Posted January 24, 2017 Super User Posted January 24, 2017 Check with a retailer or local shop that carries them, I bet they will. 2 Quote
Bama bassin Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I think Andrew flair has a discount code you could use he told everyone in his rod and reel aresenal video on you tube Quote
JustinJ Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Dobyns furys are nice and they pretty much have a rod for anything you want to do in the bass fishing world Quote
Super User JustJames Posted January 26, 2017 Super User Posted January 26, 2017 I still have 3 very old castaway at least 15-20 years old. It still work good. Those old rods dont have action specific so all of them should be moderate rated compare to today rod. I plan to use those rods again soon, one heavy for crankbait and one medium for dock skipping. 1 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted January 26, 2017 Super User Posted January 26, 2017 Kistler will offer a discount through their points program. I have known St Croix to offer a discount on multiple purchases. 1 Quote

blckshirt98 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Posting this with some hesitation because I can't speak of the rod quality, but a place I bought some tackle from, S&H Outdoors, has recently released some in-house built rods in the $99-125 range with a 30 day money back guarantee. If you're looking to get a deal on a full suite of rods you can probably talk to them for more details, or if you have questions on components (they do use Winn grips), and get a deal since they are the builders.
