Anyone fish with the St. Croix Premier pistol grip? 5'6" MF, d**n pole is taller than me still. I fish out of kayak, lot of poppers and buzzbaits get thrown around. I have a Revo stx that I got at a really good price. A lot of people dont use the this style grip anymore, I used to love it.

If you love it, it's perfect for you! I'm a short-rod fan,

and prefer them 6' and under with 6'6" the max for me.

Also fishing from a kayak.

No pistol grips in my arsenal, tho. One of my fave rods is

a 5'6" travel rod. Thing is awesome :)

I had that exact rod in my hands last week.  Some of the other St. Croix rods on that rack were marked 30% off and if this one had been it would have come home with me... and still might in a couple weeks.  I still like pistol grips and have intentions of another 6' MH custom build.  Can't beat them when beating the bank on lakes with natural shorelines/cover.
