Picked a few of these up this past November and am looking forward to trying them this year. Anyone use them yet?

I haven't tired the S crank yet.  I have a handful of the Knucks.  They haven't produce like I've liked them to.  Like MassBassin said, I use SK 1.5's about 80% of the time when it comes to a square bill.  I don't look into price to much if they catch fish but I haven't found one yet that produces like them.

I read an article about how the 1.5 has some differences in the bait vs. 2.5's and 3.5's   There is a weight forward that gives the bait a distinct wobble action and allows it to hunt.  The S crank has this claim of hunting which is why I'll give them a try.

I throw the other 2 sizes of the S crank. They have a great action to them. The 2.0 shouldn't be any different. I have sk squarebills also but these are definitely a different bait.

I have not.Because i can get 3 KVD 1.5s for the price of that MB and the KVDs are money in the bank.Or at least fish on the bank.

Some of us don't mind the cost of certain things. Weather it be shoes, clothes, coffee, or fishing gear. Heck some of us buy these 'expensive' baits and sit them on a shelf just to look at.

Dint get me wrong,I've looked at that S crank a hundred times.I've put it in my cart and taken it out just as many.I can justify 20-25 dollar lures on some stuff.Just not a crankbait with the production of the 1.5

I've also used the 1.2 and 1.5 quite a bit, haven't used the 2.0 yet.  I like them and have caught a lot of fish on them.  I'm sure the 2.0 is a good bait too.  I also have a few Grenades, which are oversized but designed similarly, I haven't thrown them yet though.

I have no issue spending the money for imported and/or handmade baits.  I will say this though, if you're going to fish an expensive bait differently than you would a cheap bait for fear of losing it, you probably shouldn't use them.

The pike in MN sure love the S-Crank for some reason. Every time I toss the S crank I get some kinda monster pike by accident. The bait has quite the wobble. I like em.

havent fished the big one but the 1.2 and 1.5 are my go-tos. i try to pick up a few if i order a jdm rod or reel to save on costs but worth the money even when bought in the states.

you probably need the MB grenade in your life too. ;)

get one s crank and a lure retriever instead of the kvds. im joking, the kvds are great.

yeah, from shore pricier cranks might not be a great idea. pop x?

The 1.2 is an AWESOME bait.  I love it around grass edges, docks, or more 'open' laydowns (trees that have only the large limbs left).  I do find it's not the best at coming through thicker brush however.  It sure as heck gets bit though.

If I'm catching fish on the 1.5 and I can get 3 for 20 I have no reason to but the 2.0 for 22 bucks

I always wait for the November/December sales in Japan when I buy MB baits. Even with the registered air shipping I can still save over U.S. retailers and their free shipping. I just placed an order for some Ito Shiners this past weekend, and they were $5 cheaper than anywhere in the U.S. MB makes a quality bait and they are worth what you pay.

Have you fished the scatter crank as well? The pike and musky like those too. If you have fished both what is the difference in action between the two? I couldn't justify the S crank when at least on paper it is supposed to do the same thing as a much cheaper rap bait. Curious how similar/different the actions are of the two baits.
