Super User WIGuide Posted January 23, 2017 Super User Posted January 23, 2017 I really like the Big Bite Baits Cane Thumper and the Eco Pro Tungsten Beat Shad. They both have great action, even at very slow speeds and will last for multiple fish. 1 Quote
Scarborough817 Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 personally i have found that one of my favourites is the gamble little ez i use it as a trailer for swim jigs & bladed swim jigs. if you want something larger profile i would get the big ez and throw it on a twist lock swimbait hook. i would also look at the reaction innovations skinny dipper and the bps speed shad of course in whatever size and colour you like for your waters 1 Quote
padon Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 funny you say that smalljaw I fish the Susquehanna aton and thought the easy shiner was gonna be a killer but I don't catch anywhere near the number of fish on them that I do the swing impact fat.could be just a confidence thing formebut its definetly noticeable. Most of the guys I fish with throw them. I want something slightly different. Due to my darned stubbornness I sometimes won't let myself get sucked into the hype. (Foolish I know) Like senkos and whopper ploppers. Those three baits are hyped for a reason my friend 1 Quote

I can attest to Keitech Fat Impacts being very productive on the Susquehanna, especially for larger fish. This one measured 18.5 from last summer caught on a 4.8" Fat Impact fished on a keel weighted swimbait hook. I'd have to look, but I'm sure I have pictures of plenty others caught with the Keitech Fats either rigged on a keeper/swimbait hook, underpin, swim jig, or bladed jig trailer. If I didn't have so much success with craw and grub patterns, I'd probably also drag them on the bottom with a swinging football/rugby head, too. I keep meaning to try Swimsenkos as a substitute, but the Keitechs just don't give me reason to try anything else. If there's a baitfish bite, it's super versatile, and very difficult to beat. 2 Quote
onetime Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I use the Fat impact and have great success, recently purchased Big Bite BB kicker and catch rate is excellent and gives out a good thump. Quote
Wonderwood Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I like the Keitech Swing Impact alot over the Fat one as the slender profile helps the lure through the muck in the ponds I fish. My favorite though is the Luck-E-Strike Bass Magic hollow-body swimbait. It doesn't work as well with a super slow retrieve but it has a wobble that I haven't been able to find in any other swimbait. 1 Quote
