How does the Sexy dawg compare to a LC Sammy? I see they are 1/3rd the price and I hear they are a bit easier to walk the dog.

Never fished the Sammy but I used to only throw spooks until I fished the sexy dawg. I haven't looked back

The Sexy Dawg has not been an easy bait to walk. The Sammy is pretty easy to walk though.

tough to beat a spook when it comes to a walking bait. A Sammy casts like a rocket and has a tighter more erratic walk, seems to me the Dawg has a slower, wider walk with less of a spitting action compared to the Sammy. I prefer a spook and Sammy over a Dawg, but the Dawg will catch fish. Of the spook, Sammy and dawg, I rarely choose the Dawg over the other two. Not saying it doesn't work, just confidence and personal preference.

If I were looking for a Sammie replacement. I would look at the academy brand knock off.

+1, it's a pretty good bait. Walks easy enough, decent hooks, decent colors & doesn't cost much.

This is one of those lures I want to like but just don't yet.  Rather throw a spook
