BassObsessed Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 The ponds locally were frozen for a few days but was too busy to drop a line when they opened until today. Ironically it was sleeting during my outing. Water temp was 40-41 and they were pretty fiesty hitting the crank. Glad to see a decent amount of 50 degree temps coming this week. 6 Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted January 15, 2017 Super User Posted January 15, 2017 Still going with that minus1! Curious, as usual... So where are those fish? How deep is the spot? How far are those fish moving to strike? What are the prey fish in that water? Very curious. Thanks. 2 Quote

There are bluegill, yellow perch, crappie and pickerel in this pond. 3 Quote

I remember you saying that you had to slow the retrieve some, but slowing a 1minus must mean it's fished as a waker? Quote
lonnie g Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 nice fish that's what you call toughing it out ,in that weather. but you cant hit a home run unless you swing the bat!! tight lines, warmer weather is coming soon 1 Quote

There were a few bass and pickerel that smacked at it with a few connecting while it was in wake mode. Quote
bma3 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Seems like a fun day... What are everyone's favorite crankbait? Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted February 2, 2017 Super User Posted February 2, 2017 Nice going! Those 1 minus baits can be killers at certain times. 1 Quote
