Anyone use the new falcon bucoo Sr yet?? If so, thoughts? I was going to pick up the regular MM for cranks but it looks like its a carbon fiber lowrider.I'm intrigued.Haven't seen any reviews other than Jason Christies icast video.

Have you found anything or have you picked one up yourself? I am currently looking at rods myself and this one is on the radar.

I was very interested in these rods until I found out Falcon had moved these rods to China now not so much--I hate to see Falcon taking some of their rods overseas

Falcon doesn't usually hesitate throw a big American flag on their rods when applicable.. I don't see one?

i spoke to someone at falcon and it is my understanding that these are in fact build outside of the usa.   that said he was very confident in the build quality and consistency of these rods for the price..

Just ordered the 7'6" MM to replace my 7'6"MM Smoke which got damaged on a flight.  I'll let you know, but I'm sure it will have the same quality all the other Falcon rods I own.  I can handle it made out of the US, as most rods are anyways.  But I'll let you know what's on it when it arrives tomorrow and will be fishing it next weekend for sure.

I just looked these up because I didn't even know falcon came out with a new rod and on twh website they have the spinning rods listed as made in the USA but they don't mention it on the casting rods.

I guess I better hurry up and order a bunch of the original bucoo rods before they're gone. The best 100 dollar rod out there imo. A shame they've moved production to China.

I don't believe they are discontinuing the original Bucoo line.  They added  a bunch of rods to the Micro guide line not to long ago.  As for the new SR, it's a little different.  The back grip is differnt then the original line, tapers thinner on the EVA foam.  Guides are quality and the rod feels and balances very nicely.  Also like the hook keeper on these which I wish the originals had.  Looking forward to seeing how it fishes the cranks I plan to use.  All and all, it's a very nice rod for the price and has Falcon's quality for the price you expect with the Bucoo line.  And there isn't a "made in the USA" tag on it, but then 95% of all the rods we fish aren't either.  They might be wrapped here but they aren't made here.

I am not sure they are still offering the "original" Bucco. I was on the Falcon website and they list the Bucco micro and this new SR series but not the original series with non micro guides on it so I am not sure if it will be offered going forward
