That was the only size Red Label I would buy.  Hate that they stopped making it. I've used Berkley Vanish Transition, Berkley 100% Flouro, Seaguar Abrazx, and Sunline Super Flouro and Sniper (in 16lb).  They're all pretty decent lines.  The Sunline Super is the least abrasion resistant of them all (but it's also the cheapest so it makes sense).  I'd say the Trilene 100% seemed to have the thickest diameter of the bunch and was also the stiffest.  It's a little less manageable but it's crazy strong.  I have a ton of confidence with that stuff.  I just got a bunch if 17lb and 20lb Lews Flouro for dirt cheap a couple months ago so I'm eager to try it out.  Honestly, I don't find major differences in flouros 17lb and over.  They all handle relatively the same.

I like the Abrazx a lot and I think you'll like it too.  I'd use it more often but I'm a bargain shopper and won't throw down $25 for a filler spool unless I absolutely have to lol.

I was having issues with this with 15lb Invizx, wetter when tightening the knot and not cinching it down as tight fixed it for me.

Solaroam Superhard Upgrade by TORAY is the best I've used (16lb.). Very hard to find though. Also, Tatsu is great, but no middle ground here on size I believe, so go with 20#. InvizX in 17 would be my 3rd choice despite the previous issues you mentioned.

Ditto

I've tried most of them over the years. Only use Smoper now.

I use 16# for all around use and 20# for Jigs..swim or otherwise.

Yeah, same here. It's reasonably priced and handles well without line conditioner.

Another Sunline Sniper user. Tried a bunch but really love the Sniper the best.

Sunline Super Sniper 16# is .013 (.0129) diameter, 18# is .014 (.0138), your Red label and InvisX 17# is .015 diameter. The Sniper 18# is closer to your Red Label. I use 14# Super Sniper for my jig fishing, very strong line if you tie good knots properly.
