Super User Team9nine Posted January 13, 2017 Super User Posted January 13, 2017 Got free press passes a couple years ago, so a friend and I drove over from Indy - will never do that again. Hardly any tackle at all. Walked through everything in just over half hour. Thank goodness for the nearby BPS, otherwise that would have been a complete waste of time. YMMV Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Never been to that one before, but I have been to the Indianapolis boat, sport and travel show. Tons of tackle in tackle town, probably even more than bass pro shops has. Some good deals in there to, if you look around. Scored a bunch of $3 shad raps last time I went, plus all kinds of other stuff. 1 Quote
The Bassman Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I really miss the way the BST show was when I was kid. It used to have a stage show with lumberjacks and even a motorcycle cage of death. My biggest memory was meeting R.V. "Gadabout Gaddis". In those days manufacturers had booths showcasing new products. I guess costs have eliminated those things. 1 Quote

Hard to believe that once upon a time, all they had in "Tackle Town" was... ...wait for it... TACKLE ?? Quote
