I've found that it happens when I use lighter braid (20 - 30) and I whipping the rod hard and choppy for a series of casts (getting sloppy basically). I think that it is, in my experience, a problem in my technique. Once it starts happening, I start slowing down and taking more fluid casts and the problem stops. 1 Quote
