For that reason, I feel fiberglass rods are usually more moderate through the entire blank than a graphite rod of the same power/action. I know that's no help, and there's no rule about it. It's just how I perceive it to be. Thanks, do you know if the tournament choice rod is going to be restocked? Quote

I have no idea. They seemt o have changed the guides on their Eos rods so they might be in the middle of an upgrade. But there's a M saltwater Tournament Choice still on the website for $15. 1 Quote

Thanks, I didn't see the saltwater version at first. I'm going to go ahead and try the 7'5" medium moderate tournament choice rod, thats one of the few models of moderate action tournament. Choice rods they have left 2 Quote
ubfishy Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 You have to go in the store and see. They had some of ethos on clearance at my store here in Ga. 1 Quote

I wish... There aren't any academy's within a hundred and fifty miles of me. Online just ran out of the 7'5" medium moderate tourney choice, as I was ordering it. Still show that it's in stock but when you go to put it in cart it tells you that its out of stock. I might try the 7' medium moderate premier casting/popping rod, although its double the price, or just get the whuppin stick. Leaning toward the m/m premier popping rod, you don't happen to happen any experience with it do you? Thanks for all of the help, I didn't think of checking academy until you mentioned it. 1 Quote
ubfishy Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 No haven't tried the premier. They have 7' ml online (that might be to light tho). 1 Quote

Thanks for the heads up (although they are all fast action, a moderate would probably be better for cranks), maybe it will go on sale for even less when they do their spring classic sale. Quote

Yeah, I was looking at the warranty info. 1 Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 I was looking at gander mountain, and noticed they had their advantage casting rods all labeled moderate action, so I think it might work for cranks if the rating is accurate. With the %20 off everything sale going on now, its down to about $32. Has anyone used these rods, and did you like them? Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 I was thinking of getting the 6'6", 1/4-5/8 ounce rated, moderate acrion model. Quote
