Super User Senko lover Posted February 9, 2017 Super User Posted February 9, 2017 David Mullins unofficially 2nd place! Quote
blckshirt98 Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I mostly stayed with popular picks this first tourney - Swindle, KVD, Mullins, Walker, Wheeler...Walker was supposed to be the ringer because he guides Lake Cherokee but so far he's the worst of my picks! Hopefully he'll get his limit! Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted February 9, 2017 Global Moderator Posted February 9, 2017 Did anybody else choose Menendez? He's overdue closer to home so I gave him a shot. Quote
CTBassin860 Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 defoe been at 14-5 all morning Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted February 9, 2017 Super User Posted February 9, 2017 Casey Ashley now doing slightly better for me, still has a ways to go for top 50 though Quote

IndianaFinesse Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Kvd is catching up, but Ott Defoe hasn't caught a bass since like 9:00 in the morning and is falling behind. At least Jacob Wheeler is in 2nd and David Mullins is in 4th. 1 Quote

Ott is going to push his boat over a sandbar and catch a 6 pounder with 30 seconds left. 1 Quote

I think a lot of us made the mistake of picking Walker. There's goes the $3k for me! Lol there's 3 days left. 2 Quote
CTBassin860 Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 The live weigh in feed is horrible. Quote

Lol there's 3 days left. At least you've still got a solid team, even with walker. I picked walker and kvd, and walker's bombing and kvd is only in 24th in a four way tie. Walker made so much sense and I expected so much out of him, I'm really surprised he isn't doing better. Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted February 9, 2017 Super User Posted February 9, 2017 I don't play fantasy for the money or the thought of prizes - never crossed my mind even with the 99.9th percentile finish last year. I do it because I love the sport. Even if we all have one or two guys bombing, it's still possible to get a good finish on this tournament. Three guys in the top 20 is actually quite good, sounds like most of us will maintain that. Quote

Bucket A, Ott Defoe (I was so close to picking Aaron martens, but all of the rain changed my mind) Bucket B, Kevin Vandam. Bucket c, David Mullins. Bucket D, David walker. Bucket E, Jacob Wheeler. You & I were not too far apart, I chose:A - DeFoe (31st) B - Pirch (24th)C - Mullins (12th)D - Jonathan Van Dam (33rd)E - Wheeler (5th) I'm happy with the results so far, but well aware of Cheokee's reputation of drastic changes from day to day. I am hoping that the local knowledge of DeFoe & Mullins, the deepwater dropshotting prowess of Pirch & JVD and the versatility of Wheeler keep these five consistent thru tomorrow & the weekend. Big fish is just 5-0 and no one had a 20lb bag, so those points are most likely still up for grabs. 1 Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 The actual standings are way different than basstracker. I had a lot better team on basstracker... 1 Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted February 10, 2017 Super User Posted February 10, 2017 67.5th percentile. Worst day I've had since the start of 2016 Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I'm ranked 87.8th percentile, and 8th in this group. Nice job alk402, you're solidly beating the rest of us and sitting in an impressive 204th place. Hopefully walker will come back tomorrow and get a big bag, I think most of us would appreciate that. Super User scaleface Posted February 10, 2017 Super User Posted February 10, 2017 Being I dont follow the tour trail that closely , I have never heard of most of these anglers . My team consisted of fishermen I knew of when I did follow it . They didnt fare to well . I'm next to last . Biffle , Clunn, Elias , Horton and Omori are my team . Quote

Hold on, he only has me by 38 points, that's no hill for a climber... . Actually congrats, that is indeed a good start. I would like to see someone from our group win one of the events (or even the whole deal). If my math is correct, there are just under 25,000 entries, although as the year goes on, a good portion of those players stop playing. Quote
TheGreatOne Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I picked Walker as did most all of us it seems... Don't worry or give up on the dude... As most of us know the standings after day one rarely look like the standings after day three... He does however need to make the 50 cut ? Quote
Gotfishyfingers? Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Yup, I picked Walker too... Who would of thought Crochet would wack-em on day 1 to take the lead. I'm impressed with Wiggins. He's on a roll! Quote

I didn't recognize that name from br, good luck on the next few days. You just might catch him, but with walker on my team I won't be anywhere near the top in this tournament. Asides from him my team is doing OK, but I really wish I chose Seth feider over walker... Quote
bmac31 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Ive got the mixed bag. A. Defoe (Knows Cherokee) B. KVD (No explanation needed) C. Mullins (Local guy) D. Mueller (I'm a CT guy) E. Wheeler (Love his versatility) Brian Quote
