If you win something have it sent to my house and I'll send it back when you turn 18.

After the complementary testing of all said tackle of course;)...

Bucket B is killing me. I've changed my mind about 8 times.

And I can't shake the suspicion that this event is good one to plug in some of the old-timers...

Don't forget to get your picks in!  Most of these guys don't have much history on Ross Barnett so it should be a fun one.

Thanks for the reminder. I've gotten 2 e-mails and ignored them both.

After setting my team I'm left scratching my head and biting my nails.

After a little research the average bass weighs 2lbs which I found surprising. And its pretty shallow.

In my neck of the woods this week and I'm torn on who to pick.

It's a tough lake no doubt, but it can produce some monsters. Most reports seem to be spot on in that it's very inconsistent. Lots of wildlife, gators, shallow, stained water. Stumps galore. My favorite pick of the week, Jay Brainard, headed home since his wife was going into labor. Congrats to him though! He's got his priorities in line. Happy wife happy life.

Hoping to drive over and check out the event on Saturday and Sunday.

1.  Andy montgomery-  top 5 in standings I believe and is on a roll.  This lake has a lot of docks he can pick apart for quality bites.

2.  Bill Lowen-  this lake has been won a few times on spinnerbaits in shallow water.  Right up lowens alley.

3.  Randall Tharp-  in a lake with so many unknowns, gotta go with something solid

4.  Cliff Crochet-  shallow water in south and is usually a bracket or 2 above F.

5.  Chris Zaldain-  very versatile and knows how to fish heavy cover or finesse for a limit.  Should be bucket B or A most years.

I went with:

A. Christie always seems to fish well post spawn

B. B Lane always pull for him so typically pick him, specially shallow water

C. J Pow guy is way to consistent

D. Matt Herren, jig guy likes docks so think he will do ok

E. Biffel just hoping for something good here didn't have much faith in anyone in this bucket.

I got Defoe, KVD, Tharp, Herren and Lucas. Hope I can get at least 3 in the top 10.

yes

The pundit picks always sound good, but I've been following how well they predict outcomes and basically they don't. In fact, the overall ownership percentage from event to event outperforms the pundits.
