Honestly, to me when the guys go "threw a THIS BRAND LURE all week long. Didn't get those good bites to make the cut but sure had fun with THIS BRAND lure" it's lame. Just admit you didn't catch them and move on lol.

They get paid too good to say otherwise. I agree with you but its their income.

I've only got one inside the cut.  39th, 61st, 82nd, 92nd, and 102.  I really thought terry Scroggins was a safe pick, and he ended up in 102nd place.

6th, 8th, 15th, 57th and 103rd. Better than last tourney but still glad this game is free.

Clunn didnt get into the sport for the fans...he got into it to whoop bass...

You may be absolutely correct, however like the old saying goes "If you ever see a turtle on a fence post, you know he didn't get there himself".

Rick Clunn is a legend, but the opportunity to become a legend was due to the vision of Ray Scott and the monetary support of the sponsors & the fans.  If you take any of the legs of that triad out, there is no such thing as professional bass fishing & Rick Clunn would most likely still be a guide on Lake Conroe.  It is probably difficult to still have the perspective of humility after failing when one reaches a pinnacle of success as he has, but that doesn't mean one shouldn't.  I would suggest the burden to be there for the fans when one has had a successful career like Clunn is greater than for someone who washes out of the Elite series after a couple of years.

I have admired Rick Clunn ever since the day I received my very first BassMaster magazine & he was on the cover holding his first Classic trophy.  In addition to being a great fisherman, he has been a great face for the sport and is someone that so many look up to.  Blowing off a weigh-in because you failed does not seem to be in character with that legend.

So I got Tharp Bobby L, Blaylock, and Evers in the 50 cut so I can't complain, can't believe Chris bombed so bad this time around.

Horton without a fish after a commanding lead...Defoe ahead of him now.  Strong north wind has killed the bite.  One big fish from just about anyone could win this tournament.  Should be a nail biter

Defoe is on a rampage. Tearing it up on the current (recorded) season of MLF and BASS so far this year. Obviously super early in the year, but it would be cool seeing him take AOY from start to finish.

Congrats To Timmy Horton, I'm happy he won. He deserved a good win. Likeable guy.

Unless my math is off, the perfect bucket for this tournament was:

A - Ott DeFoe             340 pts

B - Bobby Lane           272 pts

C - Greg Hackney        280 pts

D - Fletcher Shryock    285 pts

E - Timmy Horton        315 pts

1492 pts, so if you are named Columbus, you win :)

ScaleFace bounced back from the initial event to nap the Bass Resource first place spot for this event.  Glenn will soon be contacting him about the Circuit City $1000 gift card and round trip Pan American Airlines voucher that he has won for his choices.

Led by three top 5 picks in buckets C, D & E, Reerok has taken the overall lead after 2 events.  There is no truth to the rumor that Reerok is currently traveling to Florida to kick Terry Scroggins in the shin.

I'm glad I  am in the know about this because I am awful gullible .

Sometimes second is better than first  . Ott Defoe was awarded  340 points for second and Horton 315 points for first . Ott gets  40 bonus points for largest stringer of the tourney and 5 bonus points for leading the first day . Horton  was awarded 15 bonus points foe leading three days .

Can't believe on the last day Horton only pulled in 11 pounds 7 ounces for the win.

Hey @Senko lover, did the website glitch and delete your Okeechobee's score, or is it just my computer?

BTW, I dropped from fifth place to 27th, in the event that I actually thought I was going to do well in.

Naw I'm in there, when I created my account I was a huge Iaconelli fan so I think my username is "ikefanhere" or some crap like that.

Ended up in 47th percentile. Looking back, do I wish I had picked Tharp and Hackney? Yeah, but then again I swung for the fences this tournament and played "go hard or go home." I went home and I'm picking up the pieces for the classic. Might do better to just do a random generator for all my luck on Okeechobee haha.

I think I played the game of overanalyzation for this last one. I found this really neat website that has a statistics on every angler you can think of so I did a ton of background research and was convinced that all my picks had a great chance of a top 50. That's fishing for you.

For the classic, remember that the field is cut almost in half - maybe not quite. But having a guy in the top 50 is nothing. If your picks don't end up 25th place or better, it's a poor showing.

Good luck on this next one guys!

25, 7, 62, 29, 82. All over the place with my picks this event, still ended in the 80th percentile.

Currently sitting 9th in the group and exactly 200 points behind the leader. 9 events left to go on the year guys. Everything is still anyone's game at this point.

Ended up with 5th, 7th, 25th, 57th, and 103rd. Solid mid-lower pack. I thought, like others, Chris Lane and Randall Tharp would do much better than they did. It was surprising Randy Howell didn't make the first cut.

I bit on the Terry Scroggins worm that almost 50% of the field bit on, and got burned bad!

I had him on my roster until the night before, went with Faircloth instead.  My score would have been in the 600's if hadn't made the switch!
