Bet your team is still doing better than mine, I would have been better off by randomly picking five guys for my team. A lot of the highly picked guys are doing poorly, which works out OK for me cause I didn't pick any of them, but I still only have skeet Reese in the top fifty. 1 Quote

Super User Senko lover Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 BassTrakk is a bad dream right now......gosh Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Wheeler with 4 fish for only 3-8.... Tough day for him. Edit. 7 guys showing with 0 fish? Including names like: Lefebre, Tharp, Morganthaler, and Martens. That can't be right. Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Randall Tharp's marshal's BASSTrakk device has flown overboard. Tharp's marshal reached out and confirmed that Tharp does indeed have a 5 bass limit worth just over 20 pounds. That should put him in contention at this point in the day. Quote

In that case, all 5 of my guys are in the top 49 with 3 of them being in the top 15. Quote

Super User Cgolf Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Surprised to see David Fritts being up so high. Didn't think his approach, or what I knew of his approach would work well on the Big O. Quote
bmac31 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Love seeing Fritts back. What a awful day for me so far. Looks like I won't be in the 99th percentile much longer. Lol. Good luck to everyone! A. Tharp B. Faircloth C. Hackney D. Kreiger E. Chris Lane Quote
CTBassin860 Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 I hope basstrak is way off lol. According to BT Martens hasn't caught a fish yet 1 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 A. Tharp B. Scroggins C. Hackney D. Rojas E. Benton The only ones I agonized over really were D and E...I was this close to taking Kriet in D and Brett Hite in E...so far it looks like those would have been, um, pretty good choices... Quote

Chad Morgenthaler: To me Morgenthaler is the best pick I got for this tournament...he was under 2% ownership, but this dude is a HAMMER in Florida, especially on Okeechobee. Multiple wins and this is his favorite stlye of fishing and favorite lake. I did want to go with Drew Benton, but had to pick Morgenthaler. I consider him a steal. After seeing Morganthaler's day 1, I am so glad we don't have the same choices (Although Lucas wasn't that much better) We both should have called Scaleface and gotten his insight on choosing Timmy Horton in bucket E!! You & I were different for all 5 picks: A Alton Jones Sr. B Todd Faircloth C Kevin Van Dam D Jeff Kreit E Justin Lucas Like I said before, bucket C was a tough choice for me. I rarely trust Ish to put together 3 good days unless he is on the California Delta, so it came down to 3 of the more consistent guys Hackney, KVD & Evers. Everyone thought it would be a flipping tournament, so KVD & Evers were better deals & a coinflip for me. Don't know how it will work out. Hope you have a better day tomorrow... 2 hours ago, Montanaro said: Randall Tharp's marshal's BASSTrakk device has flown overboard... For most marshals, their cellphone is their BassTrak device - it is just an app you run on your phone. If that is indeed the case for this marshal, bummer for him... Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 I didnt have a chance to cite my source...that was from the live blog Quote
CTBassin860 Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 31 for Ott! 2 8lb 6oz fish! Quote

Super User MIbassyaker Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Hmm. 10th, 18th, 21st,......72nd, 90th. Of course the two who I felt all clever about picking are the last two. Quote

OCdockskipper Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 The good news for those of us in bad position is that it is Florida. Guys with 20 lb bags can turn around with 10 tomorrow & vice versa. The tough part is when you need 4 guys to do it... 2 Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Combs 55th Faircloth 73rd Evers 71st Blaylock 54th Benton 72nd Seemed like a good idea at the time, none of them did squat today though. Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 This is the worst set of picks I have ever had, my 94 percentile rating dropped to only 45 percentile. And its going to keep getting worse for me, I have zero people in the top fifty. None. They're all going to have to catch a limit of 6 pounders tomorrow just to make the cut. Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted February 24, 2017 Super User Posted February 24, 2017 This is playing out exactly as I called it a couple pages ago. Random Tennessee river chain fisherman Ott Defoe finds a group of em and sacks 30lbs. Couple rookies, a couple crankers, a couple highland reservoir guys near the top. Everyone can locate bass now a days and everyone can flip and pitch with a heavy setup...large grass lakes are an even playing field. 2 Quote
