The tough thing about that bucket is that everyone in it has bombed in Florida more than once & I believe all that have fished BASS tournaments on Okeechobee have at least 1 time fell flat on their face. I found bucket C to be the toughest to pick also. Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Me the night before the tournament starts: "Dude why do you have all dark horses, you know Tharp and Hackney are going to do well" "I know but everyone picked them" "You're going to regret this tomorrow" Regardless of what happens with my team, I am so ready for the slugfest that is about to go down. Been too long since we seen some hawgs on live. 1 Quote
TheGreatOne Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Hey guys just a quest, it may be dumb but I've noticed that LIVE says it's returns Friday at 7am, but with the tourney starting Thursday can we at least watch the weigh in at 3:15 like usual?..... I'm guessing so but if anyone could clue me in I'd appreciate it Quote

SWVABass Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Bucket A: Randall Tharp Bucket B: Bobby Lane Bucket C: Edwin Evers Bucket D: Stetson Blaylock Bucket E: Chris Lane tharp and the lane brothers are hammers in Florida I can't bet against them. EE is way to good at flipping loves to be shallow and to me was a steal and dark horse with his ownership, Blaylock tons of experience here with the flw and popped a couple top 5s so. There's my team, I did drop Jared litner, and drew Benton so hope that doesn't bite me Quote
Super User scaleface Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 I just checked my team and it is blank . I wonder if I failed to confirm or something . Quote
SWVABass Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Happened to me last tourney, I think it take a little bit for it to all switch over. Mine is doing the same this morning. Go to your transaction log if your anglers are there they should show up in a little bit. I freaked last time ? 1 Quote

IndianaFinesse Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Here's the worlds riskiest set of picks: A, Jacob Wheeler (13.0% owned) cause that man is on a roll and his record on Okeechobee (in the flw) rivals Tharp's. Almost picked, Randall Tharp obviously. B, Terry Scroggins (11.5% owned) cause he can flip and pitch, plus sight fish (for what its worth in that mud) and he has a solid record on Okeechobee. Almost picked Todd faircloth. C, Jacob Powriznick (3.7% owned), cause he can flip and pitch weeds and he has a decent record on Okeechobee. Almost picked, Ish Monroe. D, Stetson Baylock (4.8% owned) cause he can flip and pitch, and he has a good record on Okeechobee. Almost picked, Koby Krieger cause its his home lake. I went with blaylock cause he has a slightly better record. E, Skeet Reese (7.0% owned), he is a flipper and pitcher, but I was so close to picking Drew Benton. I had Drew up until last night when I couldn't decide between them, so I literally flipped a coin and it landed on Skeet. I'm probably going to regret it, but I purposefully decided to avoid highly picked guys and swung for the fences instead. My highest picked guy had a whopping 13% ownership. I'm interested to see if BMAC and senkolover chose similar guys. Quote
CTBassin860 Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 A. Jacob Wheeler B. Aaron Martens C. Edwin Evers D. Jeff Kriet E. Chris Lane Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Alright guys time to spill the secrets to the world!! haha, nothing too special over here for me... A. Keith Combs: Combs is one of the most incredibly talented and consistent anglers on tour. If you look at his records over the last few years, he is amazingly consistent and high ranking. He's one of my picks for AOY this year. Couple that with a fantastic track record in Florida and his love for heavy bags and slugfest tournaments and he was an easy pick for me at like what, 3% ownership? People I passed over: Jordan Lee and Matt Herren were my two other dark horse picks for the bucket. I feel that they will both do well, but I had to go with Combs. B. Terry Scroggins: I like to have a couple locals on my roster if the type of fishery gives locals an advantage. I figured he would at least make the cut, and I need some safe, cut anglers to ensure a good standing after this tournament. I forsee a good event for Scroggins. My other dark horse pick for this bucket was Gerald Swindle, who does well on Florida lakes and is an "A bucket" class angler. C. Edwin Evers: Another guy you don't usually see outside of the A bucket. I think that he has the potential to do well here. He almost won the Lake Havasu tournament flipping and pitching grass. I remember watching him on live. He definitely has the skillset to jack up some big O fish here. This was the bucket I almost caved in and went with the popular picks, aka Monroe or Hackney. Depending on where I am in the standings, I sometimes allow myself one popular angler per event. Decided not to this time. D. Koby Kreiger: Same deal as Scroggins. Local advantage sometimes kills you, but this was another one in whom I'm hoping for a top 50 at least. I can't remember who else I wanted in this bucket...I think it was Blaylock? E. Chad Morgenthaler: To me Morgenthaler is the best pick I got for this tournament...he was under 2% ownership, but this dude is a HAMMER in Florida, especially on Okeechobee. Multiple wins and this is his favorite stlye of fishing and favorite lake. I did want to go with Drew Benton, but had to pick Morgenthaler. I consider him a steal. Dark horse strategy for this one. Hoping it pays off, and good luck to you guys!! Quote

Super User scaleface Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Its early but my picks look a lot better than the first tourney .Tim Horton is leading and still has a fish to go for a limit and three others in the top 50 . Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted February 23, 2017 Super User Posted February 23, 2017 Lake is fishing tough rn...not sure how accurate BassTrakk is for all the anglers but we shall see at weigh-in time. One bite on Okeechobee could launch somebody 30 places in the standings. Quote

Diggs Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 It's early, but according to BassTrakk I'm not sure I could have picked a worse team ?. 1 Quote
