Points wise, Tharp was the choice - one of the few times a Bucket A choice will give you some distance on the rest of the field.  I think the other difference maker will turn out to be Mueller in bucket D.

I believe that BMac31 won the Bass Resource pool, congratulations.  I understand Glenn was awarding $1000 Circuit City gift certificates to each event winner...

Lmao, I really need a new VCR.

Thanks, I've always played fantasy football and baseball. This was my first time trying fishing, and I must say win or lose it was very fun. Looking forward to the next tourney!

For the entire event, it looks like 4 people tied with the most points & none of them had Tharp.  The guy in 5th, just 5 points behind, had Tharp, Mullins, Mueller, Wheeler and .... Ehler.  Day One Ehler was 9th & on Day two, he only caught 2 fish & fell all the way to 68th.  How in the world does Ehler, one of best on the planet, only catch 2 fish after 17 lbs the day before?  1 more silly little keeper and this player wins it going away.

Talk about heartbreaking.  The player makes a great call in choosing Tharp and one of his no brainers (Ehler) ends up costing him $3000.

Im so disappointed in my finish.. I seriously thought the local guys would show during this event..  Brandon Card bombed during this event and I thought for sure he would do well..  One of his fishing buddies was whacking them on the Damiki rig just a few days before..  Oh well, Im in the 68th percentile & hopefully Ill turn it around at the Big O..

Heres my son last week.. We were up river after we couldnt catch them deep..hehe

I too was disappointed with my finish ( 74th percentile ) Ehrler bombing on day 2 was a complete shock. Oh well still a lot of season left. Moving onto the Big O which will be interesting.

Holy crap!!! Just looked at the rosters for Okeechobee. Had some guys in mind for this one and thought they would be owned at 50-60% but none of them are over 10%!! Can't believe it. The ownership could change obviously but still this should work out for me. Looking forward to this one. Let the research begin! I have a strategy that has done pretty well for me on some specific bodies of water.

Also, I don't know how many of you guys used the live chat underneath the live feed but I was very disappointed that BASS did away with it this year. I made a facebook group called "Bassmaster Live Fam" to facilitate discussion if any of ya'll wanted to join. Haven't been able to find a lot of my old Bassmaster live friends on FB but hopefully we can get it off the ground at some point.

Ownership percent will change a lot in my experience, and may be mostly meaningless before the end of this week.

Thanks to Cherokee, the guys I really had my eye on for O are now conveniently scattered across the buckets...

I bombed with only 890 points but feel confident on my Okeechobee picks. But, Holy Cow, Group E is loaded with Florida boys like Shaw Grigsby, but also Skeet Reese and Chris Lane in the group as well. This is a tough group to make a pick. I'm still undecided in Group A but like my choice so far.  Good Luck everyone for round two. Here comes my comeback.........lol

At first glance, Bucket D looks tough.. Every other bucket seems to have good choices, thanks to Cherokee..

I was getting a little giddy after the first few days. I had 4 of the top 10 at one time, and then Ehler's had the bad day. Finished 1277 with 3 in the top 12 (Wheeler, Feider and Palaniuk)

i believe they carried the owner % over from the cherokee event because the ownership of some of the guys i noticed were way too close to the cherokee number for me to consider that very accurate....

i had to go check the BR standings just to make sure i was ahead of you!  only by a few points, but ahead nonetheless!

Yes, that's correct.

Oh, about that...... it's not USD. It's $1,000 IRR.  :)

Thank you for awarding that to each winner! It's only been one event but it's been extremely fun!

Dang Justin, some people like to talk big after the first event ;) Let's see how it is at the end of the year. Package of Siebert jigs mailed to the winners door?

And yeah, I have a message out to bassmaster about the percentages, they were too good to be true.

Meanwhile, at his desk, Glenn leans back, wondering how long it will take for one of them to google "Circuit City"....

Lol...with the updated percentages, I see most people had the same ideas I had, with the exception of one bucket.

I don't worry too much about having a unique team, I only worry about whether my guys are the best choice for the bucket.

True, but you can't win with the same team everyone else has.
