Sammies77 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Has anone had any experience with the new fuego casting reels? I know they aren't even close to the quality of the original fuegos but for the price (75 bucks new on the ebay) I was thinking about buying a few to replace some reels that were stolen. Is this reel basically a tatula without the t-wing system? Quote
ghost Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Yes it is. I asked the same question a few months back and confirmed it's a Tatula w/o TW. Quote
Sammies77 Posted January 4, 2017 Author Posted January 4, 2017 Is it the same as the original tatula or the new smaller tatula ct? Anyone know where the 4 extra bearings are? I'm guessing in the handle? I've never really been interested in the tatula because of the t-wing, so I don't really know much about them except that they get good reviews for the price. These new fuegos have me interested for 75 bucks new. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 5, 2017 Super User Posted January 5, 2017 First I have heard of these..............But now I have to go look. I had one of the old original red Fuego's years ago and it was great reel that I stupidly traded off for a Curado when I was on an all Shimano kick. For $75 bucks that puts right in the wheel house of the current Exceler that I am so fond of. Well...........I just looked.................I think I found my new frog reel. If I can find a good deal on that in LH and 8.1:1 I'll be all over it. Quote
ghost Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Same size as regular sized Tatula, not the CT. Quote
Super User Angry John Posted January 5, 2017 Super User Posted January 5, 2017 If your a lefty there is a deal on fleabay that includes four of the original fuego's used and it would be a great deal on the older better reels. Think it was 250 for all of them! Quote
Super User webertime Posted January 5, 2017 Super User Posted January 5, 2017 A Fuego CT is coming in March... $99 1 Quote
ghost Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Now that is perfect and price should be low on the Fuego CT. And should be lighter than full frame Fuego. Quote
