Hi, I am interested in throwing the A-rig but don't want to buy a dedicated combo for it yet, so I would be using a 7'3" mh rod (rated 1/4-1oz). I am looking for a smaller or "finesse" style A-Rig to use for it. What are some recommendations?

Thanks!

I fish the Flash Mob Jr on a rod rated just like that and it works out perfectly. I can only use 3 hooks so have 3 baits on a 1/8oz leadhead and usually 2 blades on the top arms or sometimes extra decoy baits.

Flash Mob Jr is a good start.  There are a few you can use but it's more about matching and using lighter heads with the baits.  Eco Pro has a good rig as well as Yellow Hornet.  1/8oz heads with 3-4" swimbaits or grubs will keep it light enough for your set up and then just fish it like a big spinnerbait.

Here is a suggestion:

Outside arms: LFT Live Magic Shad on a 3/0 EWG Offset Worm Hook, weightless

Inside arm:  Johnson Silver Minnow

I like using live magic shads on the 4 outside. A natural color. Then on the middle wire I typically use a Boot tail with shad/chartreuse color on a small scrounger head.

I'd use swimmin super fluke jrs on a small rig
