I came across a stack of old drafting drawers. So I have just used them for tackle storage. Everything is out of the boat and stored in these drawers.  Each tournament and trip I can pull what I want and load the boxes accordingly.

Looks good.

One of these days my crankbait storage will evolve from "pull the whole lot of them out of the box all stuck together, and shake the wad until the bait I want falls off"

I have that problem too, Farmer.  Hopefully this will help that problem quite a bit once it is sorted out.  There are other drawers that I have just thrown plastics in based on type.  Worms, craws. swim baits, etc. . . . . I will sort and organize them a little as soon as I can come up with a system. The building I am using, my dad purchased from a guy replacing his box on his box truck.  It has an overhead door and side door access.  This past summer we were given some composite lumber and we replaced the floor with that.  It not only stores our fishing gear it also stores our hunting gear with the exception of our firearms.

Very impressive setup.  I'd like to come up with something as well and this is a helpful reference point.

I'd like to keep the boat as light as possible and only take what I think I'll need each trip.  Previously most everything I own has gone on the boat with me.  That needs to change.

Good looking storage.  Thanks for sharing it!

One thing I found to help with that is using small rubber bands to tie the trebles together. I was skeptical at first, but was easily able to pull a crank out of the bottom of a compartment that had about 20 baits in it, with minimal to no hangups. It is a cheap solution that can save you a ton of time and frustration on the water.

You bet. That was my intention.  I have ADD and can easily lose track of what I have and what I'm doing.  I'm always yelling "squirrel!" Which is how I explain where my mind goes.  Nah nah land lol

Ummmmm yes. But she has no clue what kind of dough that pesky bait monkey makes me spend.

Looks like you need more crankbaits!

It's like buying a bigger house.  Gotta feel all those empty spaces now!

Sweet setup!  I'm currently retrofitting an old set of dresser drawers... not going to be that elaborate as I'm still relying on Plano boxes inside.  Those drawers are the bees knees.  Would be good for tools too.

I thought that as well but they come quite a ways out.  With the stacks being older, they are on sliders only. No ball bearings. So over time I thought the drawers would prematurely wear out due to weight of tools.  So I came up with using them for this purpose.

" Honey....i'm sure these drawers will prematurely wear out so I'm going to get a new stack set for my heavy tools but this one won't go to waste, i'll have to put my crankbaits in it."   Yeah, that's it....no ball bearings....prematurely wear out. I'm tracking now.;)
