How many Medium Heavy Fast rods do you use and what do you use them for?

I know the Medium Heavy Fast casting rod it basically the Swiss Army Knife of fishing rods.  But can you have too many (OK, I know what kind of answer THAT question is going to get already)?  I have one I use for weighted Texas rigged plastics, one for jigs, and one for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits.  I would love to get one more, but what would I use it for?  I have the MF, MXF, MM, MHM, H, and HMF angles covered with other rods.

 

So how many do you have in the rotation at any one time and what do you use them for?

The rod box on my boat is full. It usually has 10 baitcasters and usually a couple of spinning rods inside.  Here is how they break down.

First I own two good 7 ft medium moderate rods and two 6'6 medium moderate rods that I use for rattle traps. The two 7 footer ( a Falcon Bucoo and as Irod Genesis II) are always aboard the boat. They handle rattle traps and larger spinnerbaits as well as small to medium crankbaits.  The two 6'6" Berkley Lightning shock rods only see duty when I need 4 different trap type baits tied on for fall stripers.

Next a couple of spinnerbait, chatterbait rods one  6 ft md lt for tight quarters, and one a 6'6" mh mod fast

Next a 6'6" mh fast for topwaters

One 6'8' Powell max MH EF for jigs, texas rigged plastics although this rod can handle a ton of other duty

A 7 ft MH fast that rates 1/4 to 1 1/2 used for carolina rigs, big hvy texas rigs and deeper dining cranks

A 7 ft mH Fast Abu Garcia Veritas (1/4 to 1 ounce) for throwing big jigs and frogs

One 7 foot HVY for punching, pitching and flipping.

So, I carry a bunch of rods, but there is some much needed duplication. After all how can you resist the bait monkey when he comes around?  So yeah there is always a reason for an extra swiss army knife.

1 7' veritas for jigs

3- 6'6 Berkeley lightning rods.

One for worms/carolina rigs

One for cranks

One for spinner/chatterbaits

3 MH rods. 2 H rods.

 

I use a Dobyns Savvy 734C for EVERYTHING except punching.

 

The other 2 MH rods do most functions, depending on what line I am using on them. But aren't as versatile as the Savvy.

 

The two heavy rods, 1 is for HB Frog, the other is a Flip Stick.

I have more mh rods than anything else. There's always a usable bait that can be tied onto one.

I have 1 for jigging spoons, 1 for buzzbaits, 3 for spinnerbaits, 1 for spooks and 90 ploppers, 1 for traps, 2 for cranks, 2 for kayak rods.

have you tried a MH/XF for jigs and plastics? might free up one of your MH/F if you prefer the faster action.

I own eight. 

Worms, jigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim jigs, senkos, Ikas, smaller frogs, flukes, Carolina rigs, small swimbaits ( big EZ), and buzz toads in modest cover. My 843 I'll use for lipless cranks and top water sometimes. All of my nicest rods are 7 to 76 medium heavy/fast because it is my favorite and to me they are the most versatile. The bread and butter so to speak.
