NavyTom Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 New to Colorado. I am living in Colorado Springs and looking for any ponds/lakes that might contain bluegills or crappies, Quote
Super User Darren. Posted January 2, 2017 Super User Posted January 2, 2017 Hi Tom, welcome aboard! I'm sure there are some Coloradoans who will chime in on your quest soon. Good luck! Quote
Jagg Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 If you can go on post on Fort Carson there are 2 lakes (that I know of) that you go to and catch sunfish and crappie. The bigger one has really nice size bluegill and pretty good crappie. Outside of that, Brush Hollow has some really nice crappie and bluegill in it on the shallow side. Lone Tree and the lakes around it are supposed to be fairly good for warm water species, but never tried them. Aurora Res has very good crappie and bluegill also, but is up by Denver. Hope this helps. Quote
NavyTom Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 Thanks guys. Will try Fort Carson as soon as it starts to warm-up. Not into ice fishing. Quote
jr231 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I watch the "homicide hunter Lt. Joe kenda" all the time and it's based out of Colorado springs . Have you seen it ? There's a couple reasons I want to visit Colorado. Crappie isn't one of them. But I do wish you luck in your fishing 1 Quote
NavyTom Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 I watch homicide Hunter during cold winter days. I'm a fair weather fisherman. Need warm weather and a comfortable chair. When fish bite then the fun begins. 1 Quote
