Thanks. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted January 4, 2017 Super User Posted January 4, 2017 Although I never fished out of that particular model, my first boat was the model just under that. For a boat that small it was very stable. A lot of john boats you see in the 10-12 foot range are far narrower especially when it comes to bottom with. I really liked my shorter model and always wanted the bigger one. They are pretty well built and I think you'd enjoy it if you bought one. Quote

Thanks. There is a 100page thread on here discussing the Pelican bass raider and other styles of boats similar to this one you are looking at. I would recommend reading all the posts and post this question in there. Quote

I own the Pelican 10' 2-seater already but was looking for someone with experience with this particular model and it's stability with it's pedestal seats and casting deck sitting so high. Quote
zachb34 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I used to own the basstender 11.3 and have shared my experiences with it a few times on this forum. Do a search for "basstender". Here's one example I've made a reply to. In summary, it's a very nice boat and fishes well for its size. It's pretty stable as well and has some nice storage and wiring. It does have some hull slap but just about every boat in this size does. 1 Quote
Super User fishnkamp Posted January 6, 2017 Super User Posted January 6, 2017 Just looking at the pictures you can see the decks are plywood. That should help with rigidity and should make it feel more solid. I would imagine if Cabelas sells it the stores might have one outside of the stores. You might want to call your closest store and see. I know the Delaware and PA stores often have boats (canoes, kayaks and jons) outside. 1 Quote
