Me, I'll be hanging with my sons (my wife has the night shift this weekend) sipping a nice Merlot. Not sure I'll even stay up since I got hit with a sinus infection over the last 2 days. 5 Quote

The Bassman Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 My New Year's eve plans involves watching some old movie and eating pizza with my wife. The real fun begins tomorrow when I leave Indy for Titusville Fla. to fish the surf and St. Johns with my childhood friend. (Wife gets to stay home and keep the fires lit). She's married to her job. (We'll go together next year on our 20th and I'll have to focus on things other than fishing.) Happy New Year to all at BR. 4 Quote

Was just a few hours north of that in Jax/Ponte Vidra/St. Augustine over this past week. What I can say is that the weather was fine! I didn't do any fishing but got to spend some time with family and take part in some of my other hobbies. Enjoy your trip and happy new year to all! 2 Quote

hoosierbass07 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Happy New Years. I do think New Years is one of the lamest holidays every. All we do is change the calendar. Big deal. The media loves playing it up though, making you think if you are staying at home on New Years Eve then you are a loser and not in the "in" crowd in New York City or at some party getting drunk. In fact, most Americans do stay home during New Years Eve. Stay safe, stay off the roads away from the drunks driving on the roads. 2 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted December 31, 2016 Super User Posted December 31, 2016 Happy New Year Roger & all BR members. 2 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted December 31, 2016 Super User Posted December 31, 2016 Happy New Years back to you Roger. I wish everyone a safe, enjoyable and relaxing New Years Eve. My granddaughters are having a " sleep over " with Nana and Papa. " I'm sure i'll be stuck watching Willie Wonka And The Chocolate Factory at some point. I lead such a reckless life. 3 Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted January 1, 2017 Super User Posted January 1, 2017 Happy New Year to you and yours also Roger, and all of the rest of my friends here at Bassresource. Y'all be careful with your "partying" tonight. I too have no interest in leaving the house tonight, and will have a quiet evening at home with my wife. I wish you all the best in the new year. 2 Quote

I haven't done anything for new years in a long time for that reason. No need to get killed because some idiot had to have 30 beers before driving home. 2 Quote

Super User RoLo Posted January 1, 2017 Author Super User Posted January 1, 2017 Really enjoyed reading the responses, our fishing fraternity is the Bomb! We will tow our boats 50 miles to tap into a pre-spawn bite, but New Year's Eve doesn't make the cut. My sentiments precisely, Lois & I will be keeping the home fires burning, but tomorrow it's Lake Kissimmee. Happy New Year! 3 Quote
