Electric Anchors

Looking for feedback-
How many of you use an electric anchor or anchors (Minn Kota deckhand or similar)? I have been saving for/considering Power Poles or MK Talons but starting thinking about these. I would use these in a variety of conditions (TN river and tributaries). I was thinking about using one up front and one at back. Hopefully with the idea that they might behave somewhat like poles. Please offer your advice and pros/cons. Thanks

Nowhere near like the shallow water anchors do.

To functionally hold position with anchors, you have to have enough rope length deployed to turn an anchor on its side so it has any grip. Just dropping an anchor straight down has no hold at all with any wind, current, or increasing depth change.

I have fished with someone that had two of the Minnkota deckhands with 20# mushroom anchors.

Additionally in river systems, you can get an anchor hung up in rocks and loose it if you are not willing to dive down and free it.

Thanks Wayne for the advice. Sorry for the long delay in acknowledging your help. I ended up getting one Deckhand and mounted it at the bow. I also used a bracket so that it can be easily removed if I happen not to want it on the boat for an outing. I have enjoyed using it as it has helped us stay "put" in deeper water. Someday perhaps I can get a set of power poles or talons.
