Good day with the Ima Flit 100 jerk bait, some sort of silver with a chartreuse belly color.  The pond is very low, probably 2-2.5 feet below average. The fish weren't really schooling, but they were all holed deep in the same section of the pond. Caught probably 8 in an hour, a  2.5 was the biggest of the day and the rest were dinks. The big 4.5 pounder we've named Big Joanna was chasing two of the dinks as I reeled them up. The new Caenan is amazingly smooth and casted well in intense wind.

For some background, this is not a strong bass pond. It could use some culling as well as some supplemental stocking(I'm thinking golden shiners), and also the spillwell needs to be fixed. It's a sweet place to catch some big bluegill though!

Sounds fun! I love pond fishing, take the grandchildren to the neighbor hood pond on a regular basis to wet a hook.

Thx! Went out again this morning for about 45 mins and got another healthy little bass on the jerkbait. I have been trying to master new techniques, and after getting some good confidence in the jerkbait, I traded out for a black and blue jig and caught my first ever jig fish! She was 5.5 pounds and built like a tank!

That's why I love jigs, they catch bigger than average fish.

Congrats on the new PB!
