For me I start by changing colors due to the limited light and the chop breaking up the light even more.

I may have to shy away from finesse presentations due to the wind making the line unmanageable. I did find a workaround for this if you allow the boat to drift, you can cast finesse presentations with the drift and the line is manageable since it is blowing straight and with the way you are fishing. This of course only works if you can drift and still cover the area you want.

I don't generally change the type of lure I use on that body of water wind or no wind they seem to whack the same baits. I have fished a drop shot in 6 fow in 20 mph winds.

So basically change colors and up the weight of the lures if the line becomes unmanageable in the wind.

The wind is not my friend. I hate it. But I find myself throwing mostly crankbaits in that condition. If its real real windy I won't go out. I don't want to deal with that frustration.

x2 on the chatterbait!  i will also up the weight on my drop shot til i can start to feel it again but if its too windy that only does so much.

Like @OkobojiEagle I find wind & spinnerbaits go together nicely.

However, where you throw may be more important than what you throw.

What I liked to throw on cloudy/windy days this year were spinnerbaits, what the fish liked me to throw this year on cloudy/windy days was a whopper plopper...

I used to hate the wind because starting out bass fishing I pretty much exclusively fished weightless worms on braid, so it was important to be able to see the line on top of the water to see twitches and bites. Basically any wind made this very difficult and so I grew to despise fishing in the wind. Fishing out of a kayak in the wind is also difficult, and can severely limit what you can do so that didn't help. That being said the last couple years I have grown to see the wind as a good thing, in fact there were a couple of occasions the last couple years that I specifically went out on days with 20+mph winds and they paid off with some nice fish. For me the fish seem a little more predictable and active when the wind is kicking so long as other factors aren't in play to negate it.

I good a very good tournament day before on a windy day throwing a one knocker lipless crankbait and caught fish after fish. My partner was throwing a regular lipless crankbait and couldn't get bit.

i am on board with the spinnerbait and lipless deal too. something else i like to do under these conditions is to anchor down up wind of a brush pile or a road bed and then i can throw my texas rig.

From spring thru fall, if it's cloudy & windy, I'm starting out throwing 3 things. SK Redeye Shad, squarebill crank, and some type of topwater - either a popper or a buzzfrog.

If its winter...... well I don't fish in winter too much. ?

For me, it depends on the time of year or the water temp. And if im fishin rock banks  or not :)

Spinnerbaits,Buzzbaits, lipless, or 1.0&1.5s

I like to use any kind of moving bait. It depends on what kind of cover you are fishing, and what the bass are feeding on.

A possible 2 nd approach for me would be to tube fish with a bit heavier jig head to feel bottom contact better.

spinnerbaits, maybe a crankbait  out deeper if its during a hot summer day. But wind and clouds? equals spinnerbaits for me
