Super User scaleface Posted December 29, 2016 Super User Posted December 29, 2016 I was given a mold for Banana head spinner-baits. I read they are more snag resistant than other baits and stay upright when using plastic twist tails and Paddletails . Can you pourer's confirm that ? Quote
lurenerd Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 The shape of the lead head puts more weight lower so it tends to track truer. I prefer the banana head shape when fishing wood and brush...seems to hangup less. 1 Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted December 30, 2016 Super User Posted December 30, 2016 The Banana head is a great design for slow rolling and fishing around brush or wood. The deep belly makes it a little tough in grass as it tends to grab more, and it is a reason I prefer a minnow style head. I think it all depends on what properties you are looking for, all head designs work in various conditions but if I was going to slow roll or work around wood for most of my spinnerbait fishing, then the banana head is what I'd use. 1 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted December 30, 2016 Author Super User Posted December 30, 2016 I never paid much attention to head design . I'll make some for heavy cover . Quote
